Midfielder Jack Cork has been speaking ahead of Sunday's meeting with Blackburn Rovers.
The Clarets number 4, who scored against the opposition when the two sides met in the League Cup Second Round in August 2017, is aiming for the Clarets to put in a positive performance to keep momentum ahead of the World Cup break.
Cork on the derby:
“I’ve only played in the one East Lancashire Derby, but it was a great atmosphere. We took a lot of fans to Ewood Park and managed to come away with the win. It was a tough match, but we got that one.”
Cork on his goal at Ewood:
“It was a great feeling. A nice little cross from Robbie [Brady], put on my head, it was just a good feeling early on in the game.
“I didn’t feel like I could justify a Scott Arfield moment running down the pitch!”
Cork on derbies:
“Derbies in football are the best games you can play; everyone always says that. I remember the Southampton v Portsmouth games were massive. This fixture against Blackburn is a massive game in the season. I think it’s the one all the fans are looking forward to, all the players are looking forward to and we’ve just got to keep the positive run going and try and get a good result.”
