Goalscorer Nathan Collins praised the Clarets supporters as Sean Dyche’s men won a five-goal thriller against Everton at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.
Centre-back Collins powered the ball beyond Jordan Pickford after 12 minutes, before two Richarlison penalties put the Toffees ahead at half-time.
But Burnley roared back in the second-half, with Jay Rodriguez’s equaliser followed up by Maxwel Cornet’s late winner to seal three vital points.
Collins on the atmosphere and performance:
“It was unbelievable, you can see why this stadium was rocking, it was class.
“It was a surreal moment, but early on, we had a lot of work to do. Everton showed the quality that they had, but so did we as well and we did, we always back each other.
“Max has shown his quality, everyone knows how good he is.
“We weren’t afraid of going 2-1 down, we’ll always back ourselves and we got the win.”
Collins on scoring for the Clarets:
“Thankfully tonight I was involved, and it was unbelievable, it was a great feeling to score and get us up and running.”
Collins on the fans and moving forward:
“We can’t thank the fans enough, they are backing us and we can go and back it up, we know we can go down there and do a job.
“It’s a massive game, we have to keep going and keep fighting and the momentum helps.”
