Burnley Football Club is steeped in history, with the town and surrounding community at its very heart.
We believe that Burnley is a special place, one that supports us, and one that we - as a club - want to give back to in return.
If you are a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) thinking about taking on an apprentice but not sure if you can afford the training costs, then we want to help you do just that.
We would like to utilise the Lancashire Levy Transfer Network, where large employers pledge their unspent levy to SMEs for local businesses to recruit, train, and ultimately grow.
These funds can be used to develop new apprenticeship schemes as well as upskilling your current staff and means that SMEs which don’t currently pay the Apprenticeship Levy could be getting help with the funding required to train up apprentices for their organisation.
In the current climate, we feel it is important to support local businesses to boost the local network and economy. And with the help of Burnley College, as well as Nelson and Colne Group, we want to upskill the workforce in the town.
If you weren’t already aware of the government scheme, more details can be found here. Register to apply for the opportunity to use some of the available levy, known as ‘opportunities.’ If you require any further information, or have any questions about the Lancashire Levy Transfer Network, please contact tim@lancsforum.co.uk.
