Sean Dyche warned his players they will have to be at their energetic best as the Clarets prepare for their Roses battle with Leeds.
The two clubs meet at Elland Road in the first top-flight meeting of the two clubs since 1976.
Leeds have earned plenty of plaudits for their adventurous style of play under Marcelo Bielsa, with a staggering 54 goals scored so far in United’s 14 league games.
But Dyche intends to focus on his own players as the Clarets cross the Pennines looking to extend their unbeaten run to five games.
The Burnley boss said: “Opinions on football are for everyone else and whatever others think of Leeds, my focus is to look at ways we can go and win the game.
“There’s a certain style there, of course, and that had led to an up and down season so far for Leeds, but the Premier League can be like that anyway, regardless of styles.
“It can be a bumpy ride in the Premier League, particularly when you have just come out of the Championship, but overall they will be pleased with where they sit and we know we take on a good side with plenty of energy.
“I’m not too worried about that because our stats down the years have suggested we can cope with that.
“We are traditionally in among the front runners with our physical energy. Of course, it doesn’t just come down to that, but it’s a helpful tool to have in a group of players who are fully motivated.”
Burnley will hope that wide men Robbie Brady and Dwight McNeil come through after picking up knocks in the win over Wolves last time out.
And with fellow winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson also on the recovery trail, having played in a behind closed doors game earlier this week - along with Phil Bardsley, Dale Stephens and long-term absentee Jack Cork - Dyche is hopeful that his numbers will be strengthened for the first of two games in three days, and three in a week either side of the new year.
He added: “We are beginning to get the group back together and generally performances have been getting stronger, so certainly things that we were hoping would come together are and we want to keep going now.
“Before the run of games we’ve just had, I don’t think many would have had us down for the number of points we’ve returned; against Arsenal, Aston Villa and good Everton and Wolves’ sides.
“So, to come out of that with eight points and unbeaten is very pleasing, so there are good signs of getting back to where we want to be.”
Clarets+ will have live commentary from Elland Road from 11.45am on Sunday.
