Burnley Football Club are pleased to support Mondays campaign, and for the 2022/23 season will provide free sanitary products across Turf Moor, in offices and concourses.
Elisabeth Dewey and Nancy Saddington, Co-founders of Mondays, set up the company to create products and services that improve menstrual health by delivering quality personalised products, conveniently in a sustainable manner.
As game-changers in the area of period care, Mondays period products are totally bespoke, with customers offered the chance to choose the right mix of products for them, and have them delivered to their door, empowering women.
Burnley FC are pleased to show solidarity for the Period Pride campaign, and this season will offer Mondays products free of charge for females at Turf Moor, ensuring all women have access to products that they need.
The initiative is in line with the Club’s commitment to operate in a more sustainable manner by reducing its environmental impact. Mondays products are made from organic cotton, are plastic-free including the packaging and 1% of the company’s turnover goes to environmental and social causes.
Feedback from the Club’s Clarets View survey on the topic of sustainability found that an overwhelming majority of fans, 81% said they would like to see the Club reduce single use plastic.
Burnley FC’s Fan Experience Manager, Harriet Harbidge said: “We’re delighted to support Mondays and the Period Pride campaign here at Turf Moor. We are proud to provide free products at the stadium, in a show of solidarity with our female supporters.
“As a Club we listened to feedback from supporters about becoming more sustainable which is why teaming up with Mondays with their plastic free, organic cotton products made for a perfect fit.
“The work Mondays are carrying out, empowering women whilst being mindful of the environment is admirable and we’re pleased to team up together in this positive way.”
