Several Clarets set for upcoming international action

James Trafford, CJ Egan-Riley, Hannibal, Oliver Sonne, Connor Roberts, Luca Koleosho and Oluwaseun Adewumi have all been called up by their respective countries for international duty.

Goalkeeper James Trafford has received another call up from Thomas Tuchel having been named in the Three Lions’ 26-man squad for their June double header against Andorra (Saturday 7th June, 5pm BST) and Senegal (Tuesday 10th June, 7:45pm BST).

Defender CJ Egan-Riley has been named in an England U21s pre-EURO training squad, as the Young Lions begin their preparation for this summer's U21 EUROs in Slovakia. The group will meet up at St George's Park for training before Head Coach Lee Carsley names his final squad of 23 players for the EUROs on Friday 6th June.

The EUROs kick-off for England on the 12th June and in Group B they face Czechia, Slovenia and Germany.

Midfielder Hannibal has joined the Tunisia National Team to start preparation for their friendly games against Burkina Faso on Monday 2nd June 6:30pm BST, Morocco on Friday 6th June 9pm BST and Zambia on Tuesday 10th June 8pm BST.

The Peruvian National Team are fighting for qualification for the 2026 World Cup and defender Oliver Sonne has been named in the side's squad for upcoming qualifiers against Colombia (Friday 6th June, 9:30pm BST) and Ecuador (Wednesday 11th June, 2:30am BST).

Defender Connor Roberts has been included in Craig Bellamy's 27-player squad for Wales' 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday 6th June (7:45pm BST) and Belgium in Brussels on Monday 9th June (7:45pm BST).

Italy’s U21s are also preparing to go to Slovakia for the U21s EUROs. Forward Luca Koleosho has been named in Carmine Nunziata's 28 players for pre-tournament training before the final list of the 23 Azzurrini headed to the EUROs is confirmed prior to the tournament.

Italy will face Spain, Slovakia and Romania in Group A, with their first game scheduled on the 11th June.

Oluwaseun Adewumi, who spent the season on loan at Dundee, has been called up to Austria U21s 27-man squad for their two upcoming matches against Latvia on Friday 6th June (5pm BST) and Hungary on Tuesday 10th June (5pm BST).
