Burnley FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of defender Tilly Wilkes, following her spell in the USA with Louisiana State University.
Wilkes began her career in the Manchester United Centre of Excellence, where she won a player of the year award in 2015/16, at 16-years-old, before moving to AFC Fylde.
Following two seasons with the Coasters, Wilkes moved into college football in the USA, playing for three seasons at the University of South Alabama, where she featured 61 times.
The defender then had two seasons with Louisiana State, before returning to England where she has now joined the Clarets.
Wilkes is eligible to make her debut for the Club in tomorrow’s game against Newcastle United.
