22/10/2011 – Coventry City 1 - 2 Burnley (Ricoh Arena)

Substitute Charlie Austin fired home a dramatic stoppage time winner, as the Clarets came from behind to claim all three points at Coventry.

Cody McDonald opened the scoring for the Sky Blues on the hour mark, before Ross Wallace equalised for the visitors in the 73rd minute.

Then just as the game looked to be closing in as a draw, Austin fired in the winning goal deep into stoppage time to secure the victory.

Following a slow start to the game, the first opportunity of the Championship clash fell Burnley's way, but Wallace could only shoot into the hands of Joe Murphy.

Defender André Amougou then guided Wallace's corner just over the target, as the Clarets began to apply the pressure on City with half-time approaching.

The away side continued the second-half where they had left off from the first and this time Junior Stanislas saw his effort parried, before Austin was denied by a crucial challenge from Richard Wood.

Despite an impressive opening 55 minutes from the Clarets, Coventry had their breakthrough against the run of play when McDonald headed home Chris Hussey's cross.

However, that lead only last 15 minutes, as Burnley hit back through Wallace, after the winger latched onto Jay Rodriguez's flick and fired into the roof of the net.

The Sky Blues were then reduced to 10 men with not long left on the clock, but there was just about enough time for the Clarets to seal all three points, as Austin glided into the area and struck home into the bottom corner in the 96th minute.
