Despite the best efforts of all involved, Burnley FC Women’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup Third Round tie against Norwich City Women, which had been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon (11th December) at the Project Solar Stadium, has now been postponed due to heavy snowfall.
The tie was yesterday moved from Broadhurst Park, which had already frozen over, to the home of Hyde United. Since however, the snowfall overnight - and the weather not being expected to improve in the next 24 hours - has forced a postponement.
Please note that the game will now be played next Sunday (18th December) with full details to be confirmed in due course.
Accordingly, the Claret Women’s scheduled league home game against Loughborough Lightning Women will now be postponed and moved to an alternative date.
