Burnley Football Club’s partnership with Burnley College continues to grow following our College Clarets takeover match against Wolves last April.
The latest initiative between the football club and the college saw Chairman Alan Pace and first team manager, Vincent Kompany, both make a visit to the college campus on Tuesday, to host an hour-long Q&A session with 25 media students.
The session took place in the performance theatre, with the students taking the opportunity to ask questions covering a range of topics including the first team’s recent pre-season trip to Lisbon, preparations for the 2022/23 season, player signings and how Vincent is settling into life at Turf Moor.
Burnley FC Chairman, Alan Pace said: “I’m pleased we could collaborate with Burnley College for last Tuesday's event, it was fantastic to go and meet some of the students and staff.
“The event highlights our positive, ongoing relationship with the college, and it was great to see the students had taken the time to plan and ask well thought out questions.
“Both Vincent and I enjoyed the opportunity to chat and offer an insight into the Club, our plans and the industry as a whole. We hope events such as this inspire the students as they continue their media studies.”
Principal of Burnley College, Karen Buchanan, said: “We were delighted to welcome Alan and Vincent to Burnley College to answer some interesting and probing questions from our learners!
"The relationship between Burnley Football Club and the College is going from strength to strength thanks to many innovative events and partnerships, including the College Clarets Turf Moor Takeover and our elite talent pipeline for Burnley FC Women.
"All our students and staff wish the Clarets every success in the coming season and look forward to welcoming both Vincent and Alan back soon."
