Murray Campbell has joined National League North side Chorley on an initial one-month loan deal.
The move is the 18-year-old’s first taste of senior English football, having joined the Clarets from Scottish Premier League side St Mirren in September 2023.
A centre-back, Campbell has mainly featured for Andy Farrell’s U21s side since moving south of the border, making all 13 of his 2024/25 appearances at that level.
His form has earned him international recognition with Scotland U19s, and Campbell scored his first goal for the Scots in a friendly against Hungary last month.
He now continues his development with the Magpies, who are managed by Andy Preece and flying high in 2nd, level on points with league leaders Scunthorpe United.
Campbell is available for selection when Chorley travel to Farsley Celtic this evening.
