Midfielder Josh Brownhill speaks on the Clarets defeat at Norwich City, bouncing back and the fans’ brilliant support
Brownhill on the result:
“It’s very tough to take, I’m gutted after that. It was a game where we thought we could come here and get three points, especially after the other night, but we weren’t good enough today, especially in front of goal.
“We’ve got to take a look at ourselves, put those chances away and not concede so early on.
“There’s eight big games left to get us out of the position that we’re in, so we’ll analyse this then go into the next game and give a good performance.”
Brownhill on the opportunities created:
“I don’t think that we’re shy of creating a lot of chances and sometimes we do put them away like the other night against Everton, but today wasn’t that way.
“I take some responsibility myself, I had a few good chances which I could’ve put away, so it’s frustrating to look back on.
“We’ve got to look forward to the next eight games now, eight big games. We’ll go out there and work hard.
Brownhill on the last eight:
“We’re going to go out to win every game. The games that we’ve got left, we’ve beaten the majority of those sides before, so I don’t see why we can’t go and do it again.
“Today, we’ve got ourselves into really good areas, but the only positive is that hopefully on another day, we put those chances in.”
Brownhill on the Clarets’ support:
“I want to give a special mention to the fans because they’ve come all this way again with great support after the game on Wednesday.
“They were brilliant again and they’ll be frustrated, which I understand, and we all understand in the dressing room, but stick with us.
“They’ve been absolutely outstanding this season.”
