BERTIE BEE SET FOR RETIREMENT...APRIL FOOLS!

Burnley Football Club can announce that mascot Bertie Bee will be retiring at the end of the 2024/25 season.
The much-loved mascot has enjoyed many highlights during his time with the Clarets, putting smiles on the faces of supporters of all ages.
Memorable moments include remaining undefeated in the assault course races against Deepdale Duck in the 2000s, famously intervening during a pitch incursion at Turf Moor in 2002, joining supporters on the pitch to celebrate promotion in the 2013/14 season against Wigan Athletic and taking part in the ALS charity Ice Bucket Challenge at half-time against Manchester United in 2014.
The Club want to thank Bertie for all his efforts over the years and wish him the best for his well-deserved retirement.
