Burnley Football Club can confirm that Joe Ashton has joined National League North side Marine FC on a month-long youth loan.
The 19-year-old has been a regular for Andy Farrell’s U21s side this season, making 18 appearances in all competitions.
He will now gain valuable senior experience in his native Merseyside under the management of former professional Bobby Grant.
The defender’s Mariners debut could come against Tamworth in the FA Trophy this weekend.
