FA CUP REPLAY PREVIEW: BURNLEY V IPSWICH TOWN - Image 2

Ameen Al-Dakhil made a positive impression in his first start for the Clarets, against Ipswich Town in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup.

The January signing was pleased the visitors kept a clean sheet and is looking forward to the replay on home turf at Turf Moor.

“I’m happy that we kept a zero behind, but we wanted of course to win. It didn’t happen but we’ll go back to Turf Moor and we’ll deal with that then.”

On making his debut for the Clarets, the Belgium international added: “It was a proud moment for me, my first game here in England. I hope that I can play a lot more games, learn a lot, help the team win some games and yes we’ll see after that.”

In a tight game, with chances falling for both sides, the League One opposition made it a challenging fixture.

“They had chances, we had chances, so it was a good team to be honest but we knew that it was going to be a difficult game as it’s the FA Cup. We’re just going to go back to Turf Moor and we’re going to play another game.”

Having featured in the FA Cup competition, the defender is relishing the opportunity to learn in the Championship and is determined to keep working hard.

“It’s different than in Belgium, but I’m learning, I hope that I can learn really fast. I’ll keep working and then everything’s going to be fine.
