Players within the Burnley Academy have been taught vital first aid skills as the Club continues to develop its youngsters as people, as well as players.
Starting with the U13s and running right the way through to the U21s, the Club partnered with matchday ambulance provider Aidtek to provide specialist workshops at the training ground.
115 players learnt how to perform CPR, stop bleeding from trauma wounds and more from experienced medical professionals.
The workshops were also designed to also give the players an insight into the heroic work of the ambulance service, who are on hand at football matches up and down the country every weekend.

Academy Player Care Lead Chris Heap said: “From what I can gather, we are one of the first, if not the first football club in the country to enrol every academy player in first aid training.
“It was really good to see the lads of all ages working together and having a laugh and a joke, but ultimately learning some really important skills.”
U16s player Michael Ayodele added: “I’ve enjoyed myself.
“Knowing that I would now be able to do CPR if I needed to in a life or death situation is a very helpful skill to have.”
The first aid training was part of a wider life skills programme at the academy during October half term.
Examples included partnering with Burnley FC in the Community staff for the U9s and U11s to learn about their veterans and STEM projects respectively, a session on British values with the U12s and a look at careers in the world of strength and conditioning with the U21s.
