10 players from the Clarets academy are currently out on loan across the Football League & non-league pyramid.
Bobby Thomas, Owen Dodgson & Sam Waller all retained their ever-present statuses for their respective loan Clubs, and Lukas Jensen was denied a Wembley appearance by two late goals.
Here’s a round-up of how all 10 have fared since our last edition of ‘Academy Loan Watch’ back on 22nd February.
Bobby Thomas (Barnsley)
Defender Thomas has been at Burnley since 2017, and is on a season-long loan deal with ex-Claret Michael Duff at Barnsley.
The centre back enjoyed a 4-1 win at home against Derby County on Saturday in a top-six Sky Bet League One clash. He heads back to his former loan Club Bristol Rovers this weekend

Dane McCullough (Hyde United)
McCullough linked up with Hyde at the back end of last week on a loan running until the end of the campaign, and made his debut for the Tigers on Saturday as they drew 1-1 at Matlock Town.
The Northern Ireland youth international has been a Claret since the summer of 2020.

Finn Armstrong (Curzon Ashton)
Armstrong also put pen to paper on a new loan deal last week, extending his stay at Vanarama National League North outfit Curzon for the remainder of the season.
The full-back has been in the Clarets academy since he was 12, and on Saturday played the full 90 as Curzon lost out 1-0 at home against Alfreton Town.

Harry Moss (Padiham)
Goalkeeper Moss, a second-year scholar, has a youth loan with Padiham running until 5th March. He has been at Burnley since the summer of 2020.
Also eligible to play for both the U18s & U21s during that spell, Moss played for the Storks on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Charnock Richard.

Joe McGlynn (Kidderminster Harriers)
Like Armstrong, McGlynn has been a Claret since he was 12 and is currently out on loan in the Vanarama National League North until the end of the campaign.
Still recovering from a knock picked up a few weeks ago, the Scotland youth international wasn’t involved for Kidderminster on Saturday in their goalless draw at Darlington.

Jon Ander Vilar Robinson (Padiham)
Still a first-year scholar, 17-year-old Vilar Robinson – who has been at Burnley since he was 13 - is the youngest of the loanees.
Also at Padiham until 5th March, the ‘keeper served the last of a three-game league suspension in that defeat to Charnock Richard on Saturday. Instead, he appeared on the bench for the U18s as they lost to Crewe Alexandra.

Lukas Jensen (Accrington Stanley)
Jensen’s loan at Accrington runs until the end of the season. He has been at Burnley since 2019.
The Danishman had some Semi-Final heartbreak last Wednesday night in the Papa John’s Trophy as Bolton Wanderers struck twice in the last 10 minutes to earn a spot in the competition’s final at Wembley.
Jensen then kept a clean sheet on Saturday in a goalless draw at Burton Albion as Sky Bet League One action returned.

Michael Mellon (Morecambe)
Striker Mellon is also out on loan in Sky Bet League One until the end of the campaign, and he played 59 minutes on Saturday as Morecambe lost 1-0 at Fleetwood Town in a Lancashire derby.
The Scotland youth international has been a Claret since he was 15, and is aiming to help the Shrimps to survival this term.

Owen Dodgson (Rochdale)
Dodgson adds to the tally of loanees in the Football League, with his loan at Rochdale running until the end of the season.
The full-back, who has been with the Clarets since the summer of 2020, played the full 90 for Jim Bentley’s side on Saturday as they came from behind to earn a point in a 1-1 draw at Crewe Alexandra.
This week’s game(s): SAT – Stevenage (H)
Sam Waller (Lancaster City)
Like Armstrong & McGlynn, shot stopper Waller has been a Claret since he was 12. His loan at the Giant Axe runs until 5th March.
The 19-year-old has been an ever-present for Lancaster since joining back in October, and kept a clean sheet on Saturday in a 2-0 win at home against Whitby Town.
