Six players from the Clarets academy are currently out on loan across the Football League & Non-League pyramid.
With Lewis Richardson – who has been with Burnley from the age of nine – taking the headlines, here’s a round-up of how the loanees fared over the weekend.
Bobby Thomas (Bristol Rovers)
Defender Thomas played the full 90 minutes as Joey Barton’s Gas as they earned a point on the road in Sky Bet League One action at Exeter City courtesy of Ryan Loft’s late leveller.
Thomas – who joined the Clarets in 2017 – is on a season-long loan deal. The draw against the Grecians was his fourth appearance with the first against Morecambe in September seeing him score his first goal for the Club.

Finn Armstrong (FC United of Manchester)
Full back Armstrong – who has been at Burnley since U13 level - is on a youth loan with FC which is set to run until October 23.
He helped them to a 1-1 draw against Marine on Saturday in the Premier Division of the Northern Premier League, playing the full 90 minutes for the third game running.
The goal scored by Marine was the first conceded during Armstrong’s time with the Reds having kept a clean sheet in wins against Warrington Town & Liversedge previously.

Jacson Coppack (Ramsbottom United)
Coppack, a versatile midfielder, is on a youth loan with Ramsbottom which is scheduled to expire on October 9.
The Northern Ireland youth international has been a Claret since 2020, and came off the bench in the final 15 minutes on Saturday as the Rams lost out 2-1 at Glossop North End.
That was Coppack’s third appearance for United, who play in the West Division of the Northern Premier League.

Joe McGlynn (Oldham Athletic)
Striker McGlynn is on a youth loan with the Latics in the National League with the deal currently scheduled to run until October 9.
A Scottish youth international, the forward wasn’t involved over the weekend as Oldham lost out 2-1 to Wrexham AFC in David Unsworth’s first home game in charge.
McGlynn – who has been at Burnley from the age of 12 – so far has two appearances to his name during his time at Boundary Park, playing against both Woking & Bromley as well as being an unused substitute at home to Eastleigh.

Kade Ratchford (Bamber Bridge)
Ratchford is on a youth loan across Lancashire with Brig in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
The versatile attacker’s loan is set to run until October 16, with Ratchford an unused substitute on Saturday when Buxton left the Sir Tom Finney Stadium as 3-0 winners in the FA Cup.
Joining the Clarets aged 14, Manchester-born Ratchford already has a goal to his name during his time out on loan, scoring against Belper Town. He so far has two appearances to his name for Brig.

Lewis Richardson (Grimsby Town)
Striker Richardson completed a season-long loan to the Mariners on Deadline Day of the summer transfer window, and this weekend scored a first-ever senior goal when he netted the equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Salford City.
Still only 19, the forward – who is an England youth international - already had two senior appearances to his name for Burnley, and now has seven in the Football League with Grimsby at the time of writing, all of which in Sky Bet League Two.
