Hello again!
Welcome back to Turf Moor! It’s always great to come home.
A trip to the Etihad is the toughest game in world football at the moment and I thought we had our moments. Many players had good performances.
It was also good for David Fofana to get his first run out in a Burnley shirt. It helps the squad for new players to come and have an impact and it was an encouraging start.
We know in the Premier League you have to be perfect and that is the level we always strive for.
Because of printing deadlines I’m writing this before the transfer window closes.
Whatever happens I know the group we have here is tight and we move forward together.
That is how we became champions last season that is what will keep the players, the staff and the club becoming better every single day.
Your support, as always, is at the heart of everything we do.
Finally, we welcome Marco Silva, his players, coaching staff and everyone connected to Fulham here today.
At Craven Cottage we picked up a well-deserved three points for a solid performance, but we know exactly how good Fulham are and we won’t underestimate the challenge ahead of us this afternoon.
Enjoy the match.
Vinny
