14/09/2024 - Leeds United 0 - 1 Burnley (Elland Road)

Burnley took all three points following the return to action after the international break, as the Clarets edged out Leeds United at Elland Road in a 1-0 victory over the Yorkshire side.

Scott Parker handed a debut to forward Zian Flemming, with the Dutchman coming into the XI after signing on deadline day of the summer, whilst Bashir Humphreys was named in the line-up for his league debut.

It was a tight contest in the Leeds sun, with Luca Koleosho's 18th minute strike proving to be the difference between the two sides, as the visitors battled until the end to claim the win.

21/09/2024 - Burnley 2 - 1 Portsmouth (Turf Moor)

The Clarets followed up that win at Leeds with another victory, as Parker's men came from behind to secure all three points in dramatic fashion at Turf Moor, with Josh Brownhill striking home a 94th minute winner against Portsmouth at Turf Moor.

Pompey forward Callum Lang opened the scoring from close range just before half-time for the visitors, before substitute Jeremy Sarmiento curled home the equaliser moments after being introduced in the second half.

With the clock ticking down and into the fourth minute of the eight added, Brownhill then fired home from the edge of the box to ensure the win for the hosts.

28/09/2024 - Oxford United 0 - 0 Burnley (Kassam Stadium)

Burnley extended their league unbeaten run to four consecutive games, after a goalless draw at the Kassam Stadium saw the Clarets add another point to their tally for the campaign.

Parker's side dominated the majority of the game and had chances through Lyle Foster, Jeremy Sarmiento and Andreas Hountondji, but neither side could break the deadlock.

The lively-looking Foster came close midway through the first-half, but could only fireover the crossbar, before seeing his second effort on target pushed wide by Jamie Cumming.

Although Burnley then came close through Sarmiento's header and Andreas Hountondji's close-range effort, the points were forced to be shared in Oxfordshire.
