Manager Matt Bee keen to build on last weekend's win

Sunday 12th September will see Burnley FC Women travel to the Easy Buy Stadium to face Hull City Ladies in the Determining Round of the FA Women's National League Cup.

The cup fixture brings a weekend break to the league, however the claret women have been drawn against league opponents Hull in the competition.

The away side are hoping to continue the momentum following a positive 4-0 win over Huddersfield Town Women in last weekend's league fixture. Hull meanwhile, enter the game on the back of a 3-0 loss to current league leaders AFC Fylde Women.

The Women's National League Cup is open to the 72 teams in the FA Women's National League Northern and Southern Divisions and the four regional Division One leagues.

Burnley FC Women Manager, Matt Bee said: "Last Sunday against Huddersfield was a big performance, the players showed great character and were efficient in all aspects of the game. That has to be the springboard now and we need to continue doing the right things.

"This weekend in the cup is a chance to give minutes to players who haven't featured as much, however the expectations are the same and we need to perform exactly as we did on Sunday.

"Hull are a good young side and we need to be ready both mentally and tactically."

Sunday's game will take place at the Easy Buy Stadium, Barton Upon Humber, DN18 5RL. KO 2pm, gates open at 1pm.

Tickets for the game, purchased in advance, are priced at £6 for adults, £5 for concessions and U16s are free, with prices rising by £1 on the day of the game. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
