Manager Vincent Kompany expressed his sheer delight for his side after the Clarets secured the Sky Bet Championship title at Ewood Park on Tuesday night.
Manuel Benson's fine second half strike in front of the Burnley faithful secured first place in the table and a 1-0 victory over Rovers to secure consecutive wins against the Lancashire side.
Speaking post-match in Blackburn, Kompany praised his side's achievement and described it as a 'special memory that will live forever'.
The Clarets chief smiled: "I'm really happy, I'm so proud of them and so happy for everyone. There was no better game to win the league and this will be talked about for generations.
"There were four trophies we could have won this season. Getting promoted, winning the league and beating Blackburn twice and we have won all four trophies.
"It's a special night that will live forever in the memories of everyone that was involved. I don't think the lads realise just quite what they have achieved, winning the league at Ewood Park.
"For anyone around the world that doesn't know what this game means, it means everything and I'm just so proud of everyone at the Club."

Kompany added: "We defended so well tonight. The headers, the second balls, getting into the tackles. The back line were so brave all game.
"Set pieces were defended well and I thought we were dangerous, especially in the second half. We love hunting and pressing for the ball, we always want it back."
Benson curled home his third goal in successive matches with wonderful effort which Pears could get nowhere near to seal the title.
Kompany hailed the Belgian's performance and goal once again and described the trademark technique as perfect.
"He is phenomenal. Everyone knows where its going, its so precise and the way he hits it the technique is perfect.
"He's only done it three times in a week. It was a choice that kept me awake at night because he's done so well, but I've known Benny for a long time and I know the best version of him is when he's fresh.
"I had a chat with him so my gut feeling was to bring him on and let Viti run his socks off and give us energy. You're always right after the game, when you win, but I can't say I'm surprised that he gave us that moment, he's done it so many times this season for us."
