Burnley signed AFC Wimbledon teenager Dan Agyei on a long-term contract in the summer of 2015.
The 18-year-old burst on to the scene with the Dons’, scoring 35 times for the club’s U18 and U21 sides.
Agyei, who featured against the Clarets in the 2014/15 FA Youth Cup, had been expected to make the rise to first-team football at Kingsmeadow, but the Clarets swooped to beat a host of clubs to his signature.
In July 2017, he made his first senior appearance for the Clarets in a pre-season friendly game at Bradford City, and later that month he joined League One Coventry City on loan until January 2017.
Agyei scored five goals in 19 appearances for the Sky Blues before returning to Turf Moor to join Sean Dyche's senior squad.
Agyei made his competitive first-team debut for the Clarets as a substitute in their Premier League game at Liverpool in March, 2017.
And the promising striker made two further appearances from the bench before the end of the 2016/17 season.
He was loaned out to Walsall for the first half of the 2017/18 season - scoring five times for the Saddlers - before remaining in League One with a loan switch to Blackpool in Janaury, 2018.
Agyei made a limited impact at Bloomfield Road, where he was largely used as a substitute, but signed a new 12-month deal on his return to Burnley at the end of the season.
The striker then spent the 2018/19 season as a regular at Under-23 level, top-scoring for Steve Stone's side to help the Clarets reach the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup and finish fourth in the northern group of the U23 Professional Development League.
Agyei was offered a new contract at Turf Moor at the end of the season.
