From Cheshire, Brierley joined Burnley's academy at U14 having previously been with Liverpool, and helped the U18s win the Professional Development League North title. He signed his first professional contract in February 2026 and captained the U21s to Premier League Cup glory at Sunderland, also earning two first-team squad inclusions in the Premier League.
