Amdouni arrived at Turf Moor from FC Basel in July 2023 after signing a five-year deal with the Club. Born in Geneva, Amdouni began his youth career at Servette and then Meyrin, before joining Etoile Carouge in 2015. After rising through the academy ranks with Carouge, the striker played 42 times for the Club over the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons scoring 12 goals which earnt him a move to Stade Lausanne Ouchy in 2019. Amdouni spent two years with Lausanne Ouchy scoring 15 goals, before signing for Swiss Super League side Lausanne Sport in the summer of 2021. The forward finished Lausanne Sport's top-scorer in his only campaign with the top-tier side which resulted in a transfer to FC Basel last year. Last season proved to be the attacker's best to date after making his senior debut for Switzerland in September 2022, Amdouni then scored his first goal for his country in March 2023 against Belarus before going on to score four more goals in his next three matches for the senior side. Amdouni also enjoyed a successful 2022/23 campaign in front of goal for Basel, bagging 25 goals in 58 appearances for the Swiss side and finishing top-scorer in the UEFA Conference League. The Swiss forward made his debut for the Clarets in the opening game of the Premier League season against Manchester City and scored his first Burnley goal in an EFL Cup tie against Nottingham Forest later that month. Amdouni's first league goal came against Forest once again at the City Ground in September 2023 and the attacker finished his first campaign at Turf Moor on six goals in all competitions. After an impressive display in Switzerland's Euro Qualifiers which saw the striker finish 6th in the goalscoring charts, Amdouni was selected for the Euro's squad in Germany. He made four appearances at the Euro's as a substitute and scored against England in the penalty shoot-out which saw Switzerland defeated at the quarter-final stage. Amdouni featured twice for the Clarets at the beginning of the 2024/25 season before finishing the season on loan at Benefica, where he appeared in 43 matches across all competitions, scoring 9 goals.
