Foster penned a four-and-a-half-year deal in January 2023 after signing from Westerlo. A South African international, the frontman was born in Noordgesig, close to Johannesburg. Having represented his nation at U17, U20 & U23 level, Foster made his senior bow in 2020. The striker had racked up nine appearances and one goal, against Morocco, for his home country by the time he became a Claret. Back at Club level, his career began with local outfit Orlando Pirates, amongst the first-team in the 2017/18 season. Impressing, Foster moved to Ligue 1 with giants Monaco in January 2019 who had finished as runners-up the season prior. A loan move to Belgium and Cercle Brugge followed, where he made 19 appearances, before a permanent switch to Guimaraes. Featuring for the Portuguese outfit at both first-team and B-team level, Foster then headed back to Belgium for the 2021/22 campaign on loan with K.V.C. Westerlo. 26 appearances and five goals came in his first season with ‘De Kemphanen’, securing a permanent move to the second-tier Belgian Club. Foster netted eight times as Westerlo won the league by seven points, earning promotion to the Belgian Pro League. His scoring form continued in the top flight, with eight goals as well as four assists in the 21 games he played in before making the move to Burnley in January 2023. The striker made his Clarets debut in against Ipswich Town in FA Cup a couple of weeks after signing before making his league debut at Norwich the following month. Foster scored his first goal for the Club against Wigan and went on to feature a further 15 times in all competitions across the Championship winning campaign. After an impressive start to life in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign scoring three goals and assisting two in the opening seven games, Foster was rewarded with a new long-term deal. Foster featured in 31 matches across all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign. He scored 3 goals and registered 5 assists for the Clarets despite dealing with various injuries throughout the season.
