Paul came through the youth ranks at Manchester United before joining Manchester City, where she won the 2018 Development League Cup alongside future Lionesses Ella Toone and Jess Park. She then spent five years at Sheffield United, transitioning from midfield to defence and winning their Players' Player of the Year award before overcoming an ACL injury. Paul first joined Burnley in 2023, was quickly named club captain, and returned in August 2025 to establish herself as a regular at left wing-back.
