Steve Stone’s side take on Sheffield United on Monday afternoon at Bramall Lane in the U23 Professional Development League.
Defender Oli Younger is looking forward to the 'war of the Roses' clash in South Yorkshire, as the Clarets look to remain unbeaten heading into October.
The Skipton-born centre-back, who has been apart of the Burnley Academy since 2008, admitted that the team-spirit within the group has played its part in the unbeaten run this campaign.
Younger said: “We have worked hard in training again this week, after Monday’s draw with Forest.
“We’re a really hard-working group and are all getting along together really well.
“As a group we have put in some really good performances this season and I think we have been a bit unlucky at times to get some of the draws, which could easily have been wins.
“And being one of the older ones in the group now, I would like to think I can bring my knowledge and experience to the table to help out some of the younger boys coming through into the side.
“So, I’m really looking forward to the game. It’s another good chance for us to get three points and hopefully extend our unbeaten run this season.
“It’s always nice as well to be playing at a real stadium. Hopefully in a few years it will be in-front of 20,000, but it will be another good experience for the team.”
United have won just two games this season; the opening fixture in August and their second to last game, against Bristol City.
The match kicks off at 1pm at Bramall Lane and live updates will be available throughout the match on Twitter (@Burnleyofficial), followed by report and reaction.
