Supporters now have the opportunity to make a donation to the Burnley Community Kitchen foodbank at every Burnley home fixture.
Working in partnership with Burnley FC Supporters Groups and Up the Clarets, the Burnley Community Kitchen – operated by the Club’s official charity, Burnley FC in the Community – have wheelie bin collection points dotted about Turf Moor for fans to drop food donations pre-match.
The Burnley Community Kitchen, located in Burnley town centre, is inclusive of the town’s foodbank, a community café and a teaching kitchen; and aims to deliver positive change to the people of Burnley, using food as the catalyst.
Since its opening, the Burnley Community Kitchen has fed over 900 people, including almost 300 children. To help continue this support, fans are asked to bring non-perishable donations of the following items:
- Tinned meat and fish
- Tinned fruit and vegetables
- Tinned beans and spaghetti
- Tinned or packet soup
- Tea and coffee
- Long life UHT milk and juice
- Dried or tinned pet food
- Toiletries / household items.
