The Clarets will be ball number 24 when their name goes into the draw for the fourth round of the FA Cup tonight (Monday).
Sean Dyche’s men earned their place in the last 32 with a 1-0 over Barnsley at Turf Moor last Saturday.
And they will find out their next opponents when the draw is made live on BBC1 at a scheduled time of shortly before 9.45pm following the televised third-round game between Wolves and Liverpool.
Chris Wood was the last-gasp hero in the win over Barnsley as the substitute coolly slotted home an injury-time penalty to avoid a replay at Oakwell and kill off the challenge of the League One promotion chasers.
And Wood hopes his third goal in as many games can launch a run in the competition to keep the Clarets’ momentum going.
“A nice home draw would be lovely and we can keep going from there,” said the striker, whose goals have helped secure three successive wins.
“We’re on a nice little run. We’ve got a little bit of winning mentality and it’s great that we kept that.
"We want to keep that going for as long as possible because you then have that great feeling going into games.
“We’ve had a great week topped off with three wins, which is nice, and now we move on to another hard portion of games.”
