Over the past month, Clarets fans from around the globe have been voting on their favourite goal from 2018.
There were some definitive goals scored in 2018, including Sam Vokes' historic equaliser at the Pittodrie against Aberdeen, Jack Cork's clincher against Istanbul Basaksehir in the Europa League, as well as Johan Berg Gudmundsson's late equaliser against Manchester City here at Turf Moor.
However, after thousands of your votes, we are delighted to announce that the Goal of 2018 was Ashley Barnes' stunning overhead kick against West Brom on 31st March, 2018.
A jinking run and cross from the right by Aaron Lennon left the ball hanging delightfully in the air for Barnes to leave the ground, swivel, and make a perfect connection to send the ball into the corner of the West Brom net, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
Congratulations to Ashley, who will be presented by one lucky supporter with a newly created 'Goal of the Year' award.
One supporter, chosen at random from the votes received, will be contacted this week and awarded two match tickets - and will also receive a signed shirt from Ashley himself before the Tottenham Hotspur game, here at Turf Moor on Saturday, 23rd February.
