Charlie Taylor and Ben Gibson both completed 90 minutes of a bounce game at Blackburn Rovers.
Gibson got on the scoresheet alongside Matej Vydra, who also played the full game at the Brockhall Academy which ended 2-2 as Rovers levelled with the last kick of the match.
Taylor and Gibson were both given extended run-outs to top up their match fitness ahead of Saturday’s Premier League opener against Southampton at Turf Moor.
Both have missed game-time during the pre-season programme due to minor knocks.
And having started last Saturday’s win over Parma – when both featured for almost 70 minutes – the defensive duo got the benefit of a full 90 in front of watching boss Sean Dyche and his first-team staff.
Vydra was another to benefit from the outing – starting alongside Nahki Wells – and scored with a vicious second-half strike to launch a Clarets’ comeback.
Rovers had led through a 15th-minute header from right-back Andy Jackson and deserved their half-time lead.
But Burnley dominated the opening half-hour of the second half and were rewarded when Vydra lashed home a 30-yarder 20 minutes in.
Gibson then volleyed the Clarets – led by U23s boss Steve Stone – in front from a Josh Benson corner with 10 minutes to go.
But Blackburn’s young side finished strongly and equalised with the final touch when Stefan Mols slid in to round off an impressive move.
