Ashley Barnes’ flying start to the season has put him in the running for a Premier League award.
Barnes’ four goals ahead of Saturday’s visit of Liverpool have earned him a place on the shortlist for the August PFA Bristol Street Motors Premier League Player of the Month Award.
The Clarets’ striker goes into a fans’ vote along with the Manchester City pair of Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne, Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings and Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki.
Only Pukki and Sterling have bettered Barnes’ goal tally so far from three games this season with the Burnley man picking up where he left off last term to continue a magnificent run of form which has brought him 13 Premier League goals in the Premier League.
Supporters can vote via the link HERE with the poll closing at 8am on Monday, 2 September.
