A new giant LED screen at Turf Moor has been installed ahead of this weekend’s Premier League game against Chelsea.
The screen was hoisted into place on top of the new disabled facilities, in the north east corner of the stadium, between the James Hargreaves and Jimmy McIlroy stands, on Monday evening.
Tests will now be run during the remainder of this week, with the aim of having it operational for the first time on Sunday.
The north east section of the Accessible Stadia facilities is due to be operational by the end of 2018, with the second phase, in the south east corner following early in 2019.
A second LED screen is set to be installed at Turf Moor next summer, with discussions continuing as to its optimum location within the stadium.
