Christmas will come early for a lucky Burnley fan, who can own a unique piece of art in a festive online auction.
Manager Sean Dyche is offering a special prize to the highest bidder for an original oil on canvas of Turf Moor, painted by renowned Burnley artist Peter Chippendale.
The winner of the painting will get a VIP guided tour of the Barnfield Training centre, a chance to watch a training session and lunch with the manager, for two people.
They also have the opportunity to have the picture signed by whoever they choose; making this a superb personal Christmas gift for any Burnley fan.
All proceeds from the online auction will be split between the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal and Kidney Research UK.
Mt Kilby’s appeal fund continues to do sterling work to alert men to the early signs of prostate cancer, while Sean’s wife, Jane, lives with hereditary Polycystic Kidney Disease.
The auction is now underway and to enter, simply send an email with your name, contact number and highest bid to email@example.com
There are no restrictions to how many bids you can make and at the end of each day, the highest current bid will be posted on the club’s website and social media channels.
The highest bid at 4.30pm on Thursday, December 13 is £650.
Closing date for the final bids is 5pm on Monday, 17 December.
Peter Chippendale, who was born in Burnley, only started painting in 2007, after illness confined him to his home. He first developed his distinctive ‘wobbly’ style in 2012 and describes his style as “Lowry on Acid”. His humour and his cheeky, quirky character are evident throughout his work and in addition to illustrating a book for Burnley Football Club, his works adorn many a wall around the world.
