Teenage striker Lewis Richardson has been handed a debut call-up to the England U16s squad after making an immediate impact for the Clarets' youth team.
The 15-year-old only made his first start for the U18s in November, when he bagged five goals in a 6-1 win over Crewe Alexandra.
The Manchester-born forward then notched his sixth of the season a week later against Leeds United, drawing him level on goals with top-scorer Michael Fowler, after just two games.
Richardson will link up with the England squad on January 10th, before flying to Istanbul on 12th January, in preparation for a mini-tournament in Turkey.
The Three Lions play their first group-stage game on 14th January against Azerbaijan, followed by a game against Moldova two days later.
England then play host nation Turkey in their final group-match on 17th January, after which the top two will progress into the knock-out stages.
