Preview: Sheffield United 23s v Burnley U23s

Clarets travel to Yorkshire for final game of 2018

17 December 2018

Steve Stone's side will be looking to round the year off with a win today (Monday), after the U23s suffered their first defeat since September last week.

Burnley hit United for six in October at the Tameside Stadium and since then the Blades have only won once in the Professional Development League.

United have drawn two and lost two of their last four games and most recently drew 1-1 with Yorkshire rivals Barnsley.

When the two sides met last year, United ran out 6-1 winners at Curzon Ashton, before taking all three points in a 1-0 win in Sheffield.

The hosts currently sit sixth in the table, meanwhile the Clarets can move to the top of table with a win, depending on Leeds United's and Birmingham City's results.

The match kicks off at 2:00pm at Stocksbridge Park Steels, live updates will be avaliable on Twitter (@Burnleyofficial) followed by report and reaction.
