Celta Vigo To Visit Turf Moor

Clarets complete pre-season line-up with visit of La Liga side

9 June 2017

Spanish top-flight side Celta Vigo are to visit Turf Moor to complete the Clarets’ pre-season line-up.

Celta – losing semi-finalists to Manchester United in this season’s Europa League – will play at Burnley on Tuesday, 1 August (kick-off 7.45).

It will be the second time the ‘Sky Blues’ have visited Turf Moor, having also played in a pre-season friendly ahead of the Clarets’ 2014/15 Premier League campaign.

That game finished 2-2 with new signing Lukas Jutkiewicz netting twice for the Clarets before Celta levelled late on through Spanish international Nolito, who is currently at Manchester City.

Newly-promoted Bundesliga side Hannover 66 are due to visit Turf Moor a week before the 2017/18 Premier League season starts.

Ticket details for both games will be announced in due course.
