Striker Daniel Agyei is returning to the Midlands after agreeing a loan move to Walsall.
The Clarets’ frontman spent the first half of last season on loan at Coventry City, scoring four times in 16 league appearances – plus a goal in the Johnstones Paint Trophy – for the Sky Blues.
And the 20-year-old has now returned to League One for a chance of first-team football with the Saddlers in a loan deal running until 6 January.
Agyei, who joined Burnley from AFC Wimbledon in 2015, made three Premier League appearances from the bench for the Clarets last season.
But following the arrivals of Chris Wood, Jon Walters and Nahki Wells during the summer transfer window, Agyei has been allowed to move on a temporary basis to further his first-team experience.
A number of League One sides were interested in the pacey striker, who opted for a move to Walsall, who play Plymouth Argyle at the Bescot Stadium on Saturday.
Walsall manager Jon Whitney told his club’s website: “He’s somebody we’ve been tracking over the summer.
“He’s really highly thought of at Burnley and he made his Premier League debut against Liverpool at Anfield last season.
“He went out to Coventry last season and impressed there. He’s been highly sought after by several clubs but we have got the deal done.
“He’s a really good addition and he’ll strengthen the squad. He’s got raw pace and power and he’s got goals in him as well.
"We're really pleased to get Daniel on board."
