Chris Wood insists there’s no cause for concern as the Clarets prepare to get back to business in the Premier League.
Burnley resume after the international break at West Bromwich Albion next Monday evening with no points yet on the board.
But with just three league games played following a delayed start to the season – as well as a lengthy roll call of injured players to contend with – Wood is confident Sean Dyche’s men will come good and start to climb the table.
“It’s only three games in. We’ve got 35 more so we’re not too worried at the moment,” said the Clarets’ striker.
“We’ve just got to keep focused, keep working on where we’re going, get back to what we’re doing and I’m sure we’ll come through.

“We’ve done it before. We know we can do it, so hopefully we can go and do it again.
“We’ve got a good group of lads here, at a good club, and we’ve got a good sense of what we’re about and what we can do.
“It’s about showing it on the pitch and getting back to being solid as we are as Burnley and fighting our way through and getting the results.”
Wood added: “The games we have played have been about silly errors and basics that have cost us.
“It’s all about cutting those out and we’ll be fine. Our team is about being strong structurally.
"We’ve come off that a little bit so it’s about getting back to that as a team and working hard on that side.
“The break has come at a good time for us to be able to work on a few things.”
The Clarets have been beaten twice away from home and also slipped up against Southampton at Turf Moor sincde they started their league campaign last month.
But it’s fair to say they have been in every contest and led on the opening night at Leicester City through Wood’s first goal of the season.
The New Zealand international top-scored with 14 goals last season and boasts an impressive record of 35 goals in just 97 top-flight appearances for the Clarets.
And he is aiming for another productive campaign – personally and collectively – this time around as he prepares to face one of his former clubs at the Hawthorns.

“It’s about doing what’s right for the team. It’s not always about scoring goals, especially in our team," said Wood, who started his career in England with West Brom over a decade ago.
“We as strikers have to offer something completely different. We need to be solid and strong up top to give the midfield boys a chance not to be over-run and show what they’re good at. “There are a lot of elements to our game as strikers at Burnley but I hope I can go better and continue to achieve more and I strive to do that every season.
“I’m happy with the way I’ve been in the last three seasons. Double figures for three in a row is tough, looking around the league and seeing how people can consistently do that.
“But I’ll be looking to try and keep improving and go forward again.”
