Burnley Women are preparing for midweek action under the lights, with a trip to West Bromwich Albion’s Alexander Stadium on the agenda.

The Clarets are well-placed at the top end of table, and a win would see them temporarily take 1st place from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the Midlanders not in action until next week.

Lou Roberts’ side head into Wednesday night on the back of an impressive 6-1 victory over Norton & Stockton Ancients in the FA Women’s National League Cup.

Charlie Chadwick continued her fine cup scoring record with another perfect hat-trick, scoring with her right foot, her left foot, and her head.

Millie Chandarana, Helen Seed, and Emma Siddall also found the back of the net on a productive afternoon at the Daisy Arena in Nelson.

Burnley’s last league outing was against Halifax the week before last and it finished goalless in west Yorkshire.

As such, we are currently 2nd in the 12-team table with 14 points from six matches.
