Burnley FC Women are in action on Wednesday night – 22nd February – when they host AFC Fylde in the Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League (7.45pm KO).
The Lancashire derby at the County Ground in Leyland will be a first game in charge for interim Head Coach Jay Bradford, who steps up from her role as assistant following the departure of Jonathan Morgan.
As assistant, Bradford has already played a big part in the side’s success so far this season, holding an unbeaten record in the league to this point.
The Claret Women head into Wednesday’s game on the back of consecutive victories against Loughborough Lightning.

Winning 2-1 away from home courtesy of a last-gasp winner from Emma Taylor, Leah Embley then made the difference in the reverse fixture at the County Ground last time out.
The Burnley-born attacker netted the only goal of the game midway through the second half in a 1-0 win.
Burnley now sit 4th in the table at the time of writing, level on points and games played with 2nd-placed Wolves and three points behind leaders Nottingham Forest who have played a game more.
Wednesday’s visitors Fylde meanwhile sit 8th, 14 points behind the Clarets having played a game more.

The Coasters are on a four-game losing streak across all competitions and have conceded 28 goals across that run, including an 11-0 defeat in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup to Women’s Super League outfit Aston Villa and a 12-1 defeat to league leaders Forest.
Danielle Young’s side were beaten 3-0 at home by Derby County in their last outing, though prior to this run of losses, they beat Wolves 2-0, the only other side to have done that this term than Burnley.
In the early stages of the season, the Claret Women won the reverse league fixture at Kellamergh Park 4-2 when Evie Priestley netted a hat-trick and Millie Ravening also netted.
The scoreline was also the same in November when Burnley again made the trip across the county in the Lancashire FA Women’s Senior Cup Quarter-Final.

On that occasion, with the tie looking set for penalties, Ravening headed home twice late on to seal Burnley’s spot in the last four of the competition.
Entry is free to all at the County Ground for the pair’s third – and final – meeting this season on Wednesday evening.
As with all of our home league matches this season, we’ll be streaming the game live on TikTok if you can’t make it though, and elsewhere, you can keep up to date with our coverage across social media on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram.
