Burnley Women will ramp up their preparations for the 2024/25 Northern Premier Division of the Women’s National League season with a series of friendly fixtures.
Head Coach Rebecca Sawiuk and her players have been back at Burnley Training Centre in the last 10 days, with testing, fitness and team bonding high on the agenda.
They play the first of five friendlies this weekend, all of which will be behind closed doors with no supporter access.
Fellow third tier outfit Liverpool Feds are the opponents on Sunday 7th July, before a game against Women’s Championship side Birmingham City, who we faced in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup last season, on Sunday 21st July.
We welcome fourth tier outfit Huddersfield Town to Lancashire 10 days later before Cardiff City, who play in Wales’ top division and have just enjoyed a treble winning season, visit on Sunday 4th August.
The calendar finishes with a trip to Women’s Super League side Everton on Sunday 11th August, with the league season set to start on Sunday 18th August.
