Burnley Women produced three clinical goals to beat Sporting Khalsa and claim three Northern Premier Division of the Women’s National League points on Sunday afternoon.
Laura Elford followed up her four goals in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup last weekend with another two at the Guardian Warehousing Arena, while Tilly Wilkes netted her first of the campaign.
Head Coach Rebecca Sawiuk named a much changed 11 to the one that started last week’s victory over Spennymoor Town, with Kirstie Levell returning in goal.
Naomi Hartley and Emma Siddall joined the defence, while Amelia Hazard and Brenna McPartlan accompanied Bella Reidford in midfield.
Further forwards, Anna Grey played on the left and Heidi Logan made her first start of the season on the right.

Khalsa enjoyed their fair share of the ball early on and created chances as Lowri Walker shot narrowly wide and Layla Kennerley’s tame effort found the gloves of Levell.
They were made to rue those missed chances, though, when the Clarets scored twice in 10 minutes to take a firm grip of the game.
The first came through Elford, who linked up well with Grey down the left and finished the winger’s cross from eight yards for her fifth goal in two matches.
It was Wilkes who added the second with a pinpoint free-kick from the right edge of the area that sneaked into the bottom right corner.
The rest of the first half was affected by several injury breaks but Logan almost increased the lead as it entered stoppage time. Unfortunately for her, a home defender was on the line to clear.
That was Logan’s last involvement, with Charley Docherty taking her place at the interval.

It took just seven second-half minutes for the Clarets to add a third, and it was the same two players involved in the first goal that played a part. After a Grey shot was saved, Elford was on hand to tap in.
Time ticked on with not much action of note and Sawiuk rotated her pack further with 21 minutes to play, introducing Grace Palmer and Rhema Lord-Mears for Hazard and Reidford.
Another two changes saw Aimee Kelly and Claudia Walker take the place of Grey and Elford 15 minutes from time.
Annabel Davies hooked the ball over her shoulder and in for a late consolation goal from a corner, but the Clarets saw out the rest of the 90 to earn a seventh straight win.
Sawiuk’s side are unbeaten away from home in six matches in all competitions this season and are on the road again next weekend, with Hull City the opponents on Sunday 17th November.
