Burnley FC Women are on their travels this evening, with a trip to Brighouse Town AFC Women in the Northern Premier Division of the FA Women’s National League.
The Clarets arrive at the game on the back of a 3-0 win over Wolves Women FC earlier this month. The home side meanwhile were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Fylde Women FC last Sunday, with Coaster Faye Mccoy sealing the victory on the 85th minute.
Burnley are unbeaten in seven games so will be looking to continue the positive momentum tonight. The Clarets will also be looking to strike back following the last meeting between the two sides in October, when Brighouse took the three points through an Amy Woodruff goal.
On tonight’s meeting, midfielder Nicola Worthington said: “Brighouse will prove a test for us, obviously we are keen to win as they beat us on home soil in October.
“It's been an amazing run of form since the start of the year. We have stuck together as a team and our togetherness and hard work have got us three points against really good sides, in the form of Wolves and Derby in our past two home games. We're all really looking forward to tonight's game."
This evening’s game will take place at the Yorkshire Payments Stadium, HD6 2PL. KO is 7:45pm and admission is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions.
