Visitors aim to bounce back from weekend Forest defeat
Burnley FC Women will travel to AFC Fylde Women on Wednesday in a midweek league fixture.
The visitors arrive on the back of a 4-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest Women, who visited the Wham stadium on Sunday.
Fylde, meanwhile, took all 3 points in a close encounter with Stoke City Women, coming out 3-2 winners and leaving them currently top of the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division, with two games played.
Burnley FC Women Manager, Matt Bee said: "It's going to be a tough game against Fylde, we know how much of an important game this is.
"They will be fired up for the occasion, following us beating them in the FA Cup game, so they are going to want to make it difficult for us."
The claret women face a tough run of fixtures, with the midweek clash followed by a trip to Derby County Women, before welcoming Huddersfield Town Women to Accrington Stanley's Wham stadium on Sunday 5th September.
"There's no let up with the games, we have a tough run of fixtures, but it's about attacking those games in the right way.
"After the loss against Forest I don't expect players to feel sorry for themselves, I'm a big believer in the mindset being right for every game and we have to make sure that is right."
KO against Fylde is 7:45pm on Wednesday and the game will take place at Mill Farm Sports Village. Admission is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and free for under 16s.
