Club launch new Esports Twitter with chance to win signed FIFA 23 game

Burnley FC’s Esports team have launched a new Twitter channel purely dedicated to their Esports activities and are giving away two copies of the new FIFA 23 game on either Playstation 5 or XBOX Series X.

Today, also named FIFA Friday due to the public release of the game has seen Burnley FC announce our new look Esports team that will compete in the FIFA Global Series and other tournaments throughout the season.

The new look team led by Burnley FC’s Head of Esports, Steve Hawthorn, consists of the following players:

Brad Colston (Player / Captain) Joey Sharpe (Player / Coach) Jack Sharp (Player) Josh Blunden (Player) Salman Ahmad (Player)

Burnley FC’s Head of Esports, Steve Hawthorn said: “This season looks to be a very promising year for our FIFA team. We have had a couple of new faces join us, in Jack and Joey who are very experienced players. Joey brings with him the Joey Cups, which are one of the best professional tournaments outside of the FIFA Global Series, as well as his coaching abilities to guide the team forward. Jack is a player we have been watching for a while and will partner Brad this season in the FIFAe Club World Cup.

“We retained the services of Josh and Salman who both have had a great season, they will also be a fantastic pairing in the same competition.

“Unfortunately, this season we won’t be competing in the ePremier League and had to make the difficult decision to reduce our squad. I want to thank Jasper Ashworth, Hasin Uddin, Daniel Wright and Matthew Hutchinson for all their efforts over the last couple of seasons and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.”

To win a copy of FIFA 23 all you need to do is follow the new Burnley FC Esports Twitter page and retweet the competition post. Winners will be selected at random and will be announced on the channel before the Burnley v Swansea City match on Saturday 15th October.
