CARABAO CUP MATCH PREVIEW: WOLVES V BURNLEY - Image 1

Saturday

Sunderland v Burnley | Sky Bet Championship | 3pm

Off the back of a 5-0 win over Cardiff City on Saturday, the Clarets travel to the Northeast to take on Sunderland next weekend.

The Black Cats will be in a confident mood ahead of the fixture too, having defeated Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.

Burnley’s last trip to Sunderland came in October 2022, when a memorable comeback saw the Clarets come from 2-0 down to win 4-2. There were goals for Manuel Benson, Anass Zaroury, Josh Brownhill and Nathan Tella that day.

If you haven’t got tickets for the fixture, there will be live updates on the Club’s official channels, and Phil Bird will provide commentary on Clarets+.

There will be a match report on www.burnleyfootballclub.com following the final whistle and further reaction and highlights on social media.

Birthdays

Defender Shurandy Sambo celebrates his 23rd birthday on Monday. Everybody at Burnley sends their best wishes!
