There’s also a celebration within the Academy ranks, with goalkeeper Connor Edwards turning 18 on the same day.

FRIDAY

Burnley U21s v Stockport County U21s | Premier League Cup | 7pm

The U21s are the first Burnley team in action this week, with their Stockport County peers visiting Leyland in the Premier League Cup.

Andy Farrell’s side started their Group F campaign with a 2-1 victory at Cardiff City last month, with Charlie Veevers and Kamarni Ryan etching their names onto the scoresheet.

Burnley season ticket holders can claim free entry by presenting their season ticket at the turnstiles. Other adults are £5, while children are £2.50.

With the international break coming to its conclusion, our men’s first team are preparing for the visit of Leeds United this weekend.

Tickets remain available to purchase online, in person at Turf Moor or over the phone on 01282 704718.

Due to broadcasting regulations, the match will not be shown live in the UK. However, if you won’t be there in person, you can purchase a Clarets+ audio pass and listen to Phil Bird’s commentary from 2.45pm. To do so please click HERE.

Burnley Women v Norton & Stockton Ancients | FA Women’s National League Cup | 2pm

Following yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Halifax, Burnley Women turn their attention to the FA Women’s National League Cup on Sunday.

Having progressed through the group stage with ease, this is a last-32 tie against fourth tier opposition in Norton & Stockton Ancients.
