Following their FA Cup success at Reading, Scott Parker’s Clarets turn their attention back to the league when Sunderland visit Turf Moor on Friday night.

Burnley U17s v Leyton Orient U17s | U17s Professional Development League Trophy | 11am

Having finished 2nd in their Professional Development League Cup group, Tony Philliskirk’s team now start their trophy campaign against Leyton Orient.

The match will be the team’s first of 2025, following the postponement of the visit of Sheffield United in the league at the weekend.

Supporters are welcome to watch on at Burnley Training Centre for free. Alternatively, keep an eye on X @ClaretsAcademy for updates.

SUNDAY

AFC Fylde Women v Burnley Women | Lancashire FA Women’s Senior Cup | 2pm

Burnley Women kick start the defence of their Lancashire FA Senior Cup title with a trip to fourth-tier AFC Fylde this weekend.

These two teams have already met once in the FA Women’s National League Cup this season, with Laura Elford netting a hat-trick as part of a 7-0 victory in August.

Tickets can be purchased from Kellamergh Park (PR4 1TN) on the day and are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for children, with those under 12 going free.

It is important to note that the stadium is a cash only venue, both for tickets and refreshments.
